Congrats to the CodeGear team for resolving several QC issues for Delphi 2007 and RAD Studio 2007. Granted, everyone using this product wishes 100% of the QC issues were addressed, but it’s simply not realistic.

Prior to this update, CodeGear released a documentation update for their help files. This change also allows for a migration towards documentation updates seperated from the actual IDE and product updates.

You can get the update by logging into your account at http://www.codegear.com.

In recent years, CodeGear (and it’s parent company Borland) have been taking quite the hits regarding the documentation quality and quantity. To the credit of the current technical writing staff, they have really been working hard at building back the quality of the documentation, filling in the blanks and putting back examples.

In a prior newsgroup post, the documentation team essentially bucked up and stated where a lot of problems were regarding their documentation. Some materials had been lost. A lot had been misplaced and on various computers and drives that needed to be searched for.

My kudo’s to the doc team as well as Nick Hodges for taking a lot of flack on the newsgroups and doing a great job in trying to wade through it and represent CodeGear in the best way possible.

I was quite amazed at the Whole Foods location in Pasadena, California. I went with family to pick up some fixings for New Years dinner as well as to grab a bite to eat.

Having been to a few Whole Foods, this one has quite an expanded selection compared to most. The store is two stories high, which leads to the question… how do you get your stuff between floors? An escalator or elevator is available, which is quite normal for multi-story stores. However, this store also features a shopping cart escalator. Simply push the cart up to the escalator and it will take it down slowly for you. Quite cool.
